Nani kore?

What is this? I'll keep it short and sweet until the day that inspiration strikes, but the quick answer is that one of my majors is in Japanese Linguistics, and I've had an interest in Japanese culture and language for many years. I have written a few things concerning Japan, and will in all likeliness write more as time progresses. It's clear that I made a decision at some point that Japanese culture was going to be deeply entwined with my life... a fact that never ceases to amaze my Romance language studying parents.

I spent the summer of 2001 living in Japan, in the city of Hakodate on the island of Hokkaido, but don't have anything to show for it. I also spent the latter six months of 2003 in Osaka on the main island of Honshuu - and I have the pictures to prove it.
